Day 2 on the road

Today was a loooong day. We started at 9:30 AM and made our final stop at 8 PM. This was actually 11.5 hours of driving because of a time change mid-Indiana. Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois are complete!! Now in Iowa, we are staying at another Super 8, about 100 miles from Des Moines. Turkey was so happy to jump on the bed, but I won't post more pictures of that!

Here are a couple photograph highlights from today:

Stuck in some traffic after entering Illinois.

Oh yeah, that's just a Viper... being driven... on the road.

Visual of what we drove today!! Wow.

**Correction to my first post, Marc is a METEOROLOGIST.**

Haha, I love your reflection in the other truck during the traffic jam! My mom said that it was good you drove past Chicago on a Saturday. She did it on a weekday and said it was horrible!!

That Viper looks pretty sweet, but I hope you challenged him to a race! He would have been blinded by your bright yellow truck!

Good luck driving through the fly-over states. You'll see why they got that name tomorrow...

Scott, I painter your car red in your absence and it looks just like that Viper.

Dammit! Marc took my comment! I too enjoyed the picture that you took of yourself via the reflecting truck.

The highlighted route was a very good idea as well.

ps im sorry that I somehow didn't get that email. Im going to make up for it by leaving lots of comments.
