YAY!!!

It's raining. I'm so happy right now. I know that seems weird, but I guess you just need to live it to understand it. I've lived in Bakersfield for a month and a half and this is the first time it is raining. I tried to take pictures... I promise, the sidewalks are wet from rain and not the sprinklers. This is the view from my window of another apartment building.

On a note totally off topic, I didn't teach today. I had to go to a lecture for some classroom management thing and ended up coming back here and just vegging out the rest of the day. I found out that Turkey has a secret life of being a complete pile of... well, you know.
HE'S SO LAZY!!!! Seriously though. Look at that gut.

Hi Carol,
I hadn't checked your site in a bit, so I was happy to see that you are adapting to California and enjoying your teaching experiences. Minus the administrative paperwork, etc. I especially love the pics of Turkey, what a character. I loved the pics of him with his stuffy toy, and it reminds me of my dog, Sadie, who carries her "babies" all around. We went last weekend to see Barbie's girl Brittney row for Dusquene university in Pittsburgh. It was a beautiful day to sit by the river and watch them work out!!!!! I just can't believe how you all are growing up, I remember when I held little Brittney in my arms, now she is 19. It is really really true, you don't know where the years go, so enjoy yourself, be productive, and have fun too!!!! Your second cousin, Beverly
